For sale here is a vintage legend, Alphason Sonata turntable w/revered HR-100MCS tonearm.
A scarcely seen classic in excellent condition. Dustcover is in great condition for its age, only it doesn't like to stay up. Brand new belt is included. HR-100MCS tonearm was a fully fledge high end unit with a one piece titanium arm tube - quite revolutionary at the time. The arm still sports its original Van Den Hul tonearm wire and has the same mounting geometry as Linn, Kuzma, Zeta etc.
Switchable between 33 & 45 speed, with selector bottons below front timber fascia.
This turntable weighs an absolute tonne - deceiving for its generic, classic size and form. Build quality is unsuspectedly impressive for it's vintage. Alphason even used spiked/coned feet as standard. No stone left unturned with this execution.
A chance to own a scarcely seen classic.
Given the delicate nature of the unit, collection is from Geelong.
