Custom Made Entertainment Unit (Tassy Oak)
I designed this in CAD and had it custom made to hold larger audio components as I found most entertainment units not big enough, sturdy enough, and ventilation enough. There are some unique design elements listed below. I actually had a tube amplifier in one section, with a silent fan installed to extract the heat out the back, which has all four cavities open in the back, and ventilations slots along the bottom. I also had a subwoofer in one section facing backwards out of the opening. This worked well with the unit slightly off the wall and DSP used for correction. The deep 60cm allows that extra room required for cabling of larger components. The open back makes it easy to swap components in and out and change the wiring.
