Putting an EOI out for an almost brand new Esoteric N-05XD DAC/Streamer/ Pre.Amp/HP Amp.
Purchased new from Krispy Audio on the 18th Oct.
It has had 100 or so hours put through it, not a mark on the unit, have all manuals, remote and the triple shipping boxes it came it.
I purchased it to see what Esoteric was like sound wise and feature wise etc. against what I have.
It’s a magnificent sound, the build quality is like nothing I’ve ever seen before on a piece of hifi equipment.
Even the remote is really first class, often a cost saving measure in 99% of hifi companies thought process.
Unfortunately I have just chosen to go in a different direction.
The attached review captures accurately what the unit is like.
I’ll add that the Australian RRP is significantly lower than the US and UK price. So don’t be put off by the lower local price point. It most certainly hasn’t been built to a “price point” at all. Like all Esoteric DAC/ players, it can be significantly improved upon by adding a matching Master Clock.
It’s a true Esoteric product in every sense of the word from this high end manufacturer.
