Hales System 2 Signature loudspeaker system in good working condition. Very robust heavy heroically constructed cabinets (100mm MDF front baffles) in real American walnut finish, with potted external crossover networks and integral Cardas wiring. Sealed box design, nom. 4 ohms impedance. Cabinets are 280mm wide x 530mm deep x 1225mm high, each weighing approx 80kg. Crossover networks are 260mm wide x 320mm long x 120mm high, each weighing approx. 11kg.
This is a very neutral, flat response system. It was rated highly enough in its day that Robert Harley (Stereophile) used the same speakers as his reference at the time. Read the review and see measurements in Stereophile. Robert's summation is pretty spot on, and I've had many years listening to these to know.

Due to the bulk and weight I won't consider shipping outside Melbourne; would need to be collect only.
I am unable to optimally set these up in a proper listening environment for auditioning, but will be able to play them to show they work properly and sound fine.
