Here we have a Cullen Circuits upgraded GCPH.
Rick Cullen of wyred 4 sound was fully endorsed by his friend Paul McGowan of PS audio to upgrade these units.
As you can see in one photo the upgrade consisted of .
1 .replace all coupling caps with Muse audio grade.
2 .aďd cullen modified gain cells.
3 .replace rca with wbt next gen.
4 .improve psu.
5 .change all resistors to 0.1% Dale copper leaded.
6. ERS Cloth.
Having owned the stock standard GCPH prior to this I can say that the Cullen upgrades bring a level.of transparency and fine micro detail and just a more real natural sound to the already great sounding stock unit.
These phono stages are very versatile with phase and mono settings.
And best of all a remote control of all functions.
It can be used as a normal phono stage into your amp or if vinyl is your only source as a preamp via its rca or xlr outs directly into your power amp or active speakers for a simpler and less stuff in the signal path setup.
RRP on these was $1499 USD which is around $2175 aud.
