Bit of a long shot but here goes...
A while ago I acquired an old pair of HD650s with a serious issue. One capsule (the bit that holds the driver) has a mesh screen that is seriously misaligned from the factory, partially occluding the driver, creating an air gap at the bottom of the capsule, and resulting in quite a wonky sound. See the attached photo for an idea of what I mean.
Rather than throwing the headphones out or selling them for parts, I was wondering if anyone had either:
a broken HD650 pair with intact capsules (functioning drivers optional), or
new capsules with drivers (as in this ad 7 years ago).
The capsules on mine are a very old black mesh screen, which was long ago replaced with the now-ubiquitous silver mesh version, so I'd likely need to replace both sides to have them match. That means I need two complete capsules. Let me know if you have anything.
