Further Information
For sale are a pair of Stones Sound Studio HD360 speakers designed by Russell Storey for WES.
The sound is clean and open with extended bass response into the low 40/high 30 hz range if placed near the wall.
The woofers are the legendary 6.5" Peerless HDS-P830833 nomex driver found in the Lehenan ML2, and the Fountek JP3.0 ribbon tweeter.
The crossovers feature Solen capacitors and air-core inductors throughout.
The enclosures are painted in gloss metallic black and present extremely nicely once placed within a room, but are not "factory perfect" when viewed up close. The bottoms of the speakers are also painted in matte black/undercoat.
The original cheap plastic binding posts have been replaced with aluminium plates and upgraded binding posts. The speaker grilles have also been recovered and magnetically affixed. Not the prettiest from the rear but look great once installed.
