For sale is an immaculate Ypsilon MC-16 moving coil cartridge Step-Up Transformer. Widely regarded as one of the finest SUTs available, made in Greece, the MC-16 is designed to bring low-output moving coil cartridges to life, offering an incredibly transparent and musical presentation.
Performance: Provides 16 times (24dB) gain. Optimized for low-output MC cartridges (ideally 0.3mV - 0.4mV range).
Design: Features proprietary, hand-wound single C-core double coil transformers using specialized amorphous core material.
Construction: Potted in 10mm thick, nickel-coated soft iron enclosures for total shielding from electromagnetic interference and noise-free performance. Impedance: Fixed input impedance of 200 ohms (when terminated in 47k standard MM phono).
Condition: Lightly used, excellent condition and comes with RCA loading plugs. The MC-16 is renowned for offering stunning transparency and "silky, airy" high frequencies, often preferred over active gain stages for its organic sound.

Cartridge loading is completely adjustable by using the 3rd set of RCA terminals where you can solder any resistor value from hot to ground on a male RCA plug and plug it into the load connectors creating the load on the cartridge.
