Pure Silver Top of The Range EMIA State of the art line stage solution. I've owned the copper Slagle Autoformer before and this performs on a whole different level (as you would expect given they cost around $12500 Aud direct from EMIA in the States).  So just to reiterate: This is not your mamas Slagle autoformers that you can buy separately (I still have a pair of the copper Slagle auto formers here that I will be advertising on Stereonet soon.  They sound really great but nothing like this puppy.  This thing is incredibly pure but with the balls you would expect from transformers.

This is the top of the range version using all Silver transformers, wiring and RCA connectors.

There are 3 inputs and two sets of outputs making it ideal for a single amp or bi-amp setup.

The all metal remote control works a treat. The remote controls volume along with mute, different input selectors and balance control (so you can change the balance between the left and right of the stereo speakers).

I'm selling it because I can't use it with buying an external phono section to ad to it. I got rid of my MSB Premier Digital Setup a while ago and use only Vinyl. It's a line level only preamp and I do not want to invest in an expensive phono section to use with it to spin my records.

These sell for $7525 USD direct from EMIA in the USA which translates to $11800 Aud not including shipping, import duties etc. So in Australia it would be about $12500 AUD. It's an absolute statement preamplifier and sounds amazing and fully comensurate with the retail price.

A lot of guys use these with full on Goto and other exotic horn and single ended triode setups.

Pickup from Melbourne, Vic or can ship if needed.

I advertised this on another site late last night and this morning woke up to 6 people wanting to buy it immediately at the above price (all from the USA) but I would very strongly prefer a local sale (and give back to Stereonet and our members).  Advertised at a cheap price to move it quickly.  If it doesn't sell here in a couple of days I will ship it to the States but would prefer it went local (ideally somewhere where I can still hear it in someones killer system from time to time. 🙂

As I only use Vinyl now your more than welcome to listen to this in my system but you would need to bring your dac / cd player over as I don't presently own one and don't have a separate phono stage to connect to it.

Lots of info on line. One of many raves is below:

Jack Roberts writing for Dagogo online on the cheaper and less good copper version said:

"If your system will work with a passive line stage, then I don’t know of any line stage at any price that can be the equal of either Emia Remote Autoformers.

Further, the Emia Remote Autoformer is so close in performance to a direct connection ,(as is the Coincident Statement), I believe it’s highly unlikely that anything can ever be substantially superior. Why? There is almost no “room” left for any improvement. Maybe the silver version of the Emia is slightly superior to the copper version I heard. Maybe there are other models out there that are also slightly superior, and maybe there are even models which have the same basic performance and sell for less money, but I am not aware of any of them at this time. The Emia is simply magnificent when it comes to making music, and the silver one has been my reference for nearly three years now. By the way, if you don’t require a remote all this great sound is available for even less."
