Garrard 401 stripped, painted and restored by Golden Age Audio and sparingly used since.
I bought this turntable in 2016 from russell66, then proceeded to give it a total overhaul.
The head shell and arm board were custom designed and CNC machined to suit the Univector 12 inch tonearm from Golden Age Audio.
The arm board and chassis were painted in the original Garrard colour by a panel beater.
The spindle was given an overhaul by Duc.
The idler wheel was replaced with a NOS original.
The Cartridge is a Zyx Bloom with a Soundsmith upgrade.
The turntable outputs are housed in a Permali CNC machined box.
This is a turnkey solution for anyone looking seriously at a Garrard 401 in immaculate condition.
The sub chassis and main plinth are supported with Herbies isolation treatment, which come with the sale.
With the amount of money, work and time that's been invested into this turntable, I feel this is a fair price.
Nothing more to spend, just plug it in.
