Overview

The Klimax Exakt 350 speaker system, engineered with Linn's innovative Exakt technology. Designed with meticulous attention to detail, the Klimax Exakt 350 delivers both power and precision.

It's servo-driven bass system, coupled with the Linn 3K driver array and onboard amplifiers totaling 3,000 W, combine seamlessly with Exakt technology to produce unparalleled audio quality. Integrated within each speaker is a specially designed module housing powerful amplifiers and Exakt electronics, optimizing performance without the need for multiple separate hi-fi components.

The Klimax Exakt 350 speaker features advanced power supply intelligence, consuming less than 0.005W in sleep mode, 70W/channel during quiet playback, and an average of 250W/channel during maximum output.

Each speaker includes two large Dynamik regulated switch-mode power supplies and six Class A/B linear Chakra amplifiers. Amplifiers are rated for 4ohm drivers, with varying power outputs: 100W for treble units, 400W for midrange, and 1000W for bass (limited to 750W for safety). This ensures ample dynamic headroom, with the equivalent power output exceeding 2,000W per channel for passive speakers. The Klimax Exakt 350 is designed for serious high-end performance.

Linn's vertical driver array in the Klimax Exakt 350 utilizes a die-cast alloy module for its three upper frequency drivers: 75mm and 25mm polyurethane polymer domes, plus a 13mm silk dome. This design minimizes diffraction and cavity resonances, promoting free-space operation across its frequency range (350Hz - 33kHz) for improved power response. The speaker operates across five frequency spans, enhancing off-axis response. Credit for the design goes to Phil Budd, who aimed to create a fully phase-linear loudspeaker. The compact enclosure (50 liters) houses twin 200mm bass units with large linear throw, thanks to Linn's bass servo technology. The active rear module, detachable for service or upgrade, features extensive revisions derived from previous models, carefully mounted to avoid vibration issues.
