Wilson Audio Sophia Series 3 Floor Standing Speakers

For sale are my Wilson Audio Sophia Series 3 Speakers in the upgrade colour of Obsidian Black Metallic, with matching black hardware. 

I have owned the speakers from new and they are totally immaculate, no marks, scratches, or dings, they really are like new.. They have always been used in a dedicated music listening room in a mature household. The upgraded colour is beautiful, a deep metallic dark charcoal, which I've tried to capture in a couple of the photos, and they have the optional black metal hardware to match. 

The Sophias come supplied with all the original accessories including the original tool kit, Wilson Audio audio diode floor spikes, castors (currently fitted for ease of movement), floor protectors, ring-binder instruction folder, and importantly the original wooden crates for shipping.

The Sophia Series 3's are the final edition of the Sophia range, and one of the last speakers to be designed and voiced by David Wilson, the founder of Wilson Audio. They were eventually superseded by the Wilson Audio Yvette, and fit in the model lineup between the SabrinaX and the Sasha V. 

They have been the reference point of my system and were for me a once in a life time purchase. I've built a number of different systems around them from full valve amplification, through to full Class A solid state, and with each change they let the full beauty of the sound shine through. They truly are a world class speaker from one of the world's best speaker manufacturers.

They are hand made in the USA, extremely well built, and clearly money is not a limiting factor in the design and build quality. They are built to last a lifetime and have a technical backup and support services that is second to non so you can buy with the upmost confidence.

Each speaker has its own crate, and each crate is 69 x 51 x 124 cm and weighs (fully loaded) 110kg

So shipping needs to be costed for 2 off 69 x 51 x 124 cm crates, at a combined weight of 220kg

Shipping costs are not included in the sale price, and must be organised by the purchaser.

Reason for Sale

It’s the end of the long and winding road for my HiFi journey that started nearly 40 years ago when I purchased my first CD player (a Philips CD104). I’m now hanging up my interconnects and planning another journey which actually involves travel, yes I’m planning for my approaching retirement and am going travelling.

Consequently, I’m selling my entire setup.
