For sale is one of my two Zyx Premium 4DX SB2 cartridges. I liked this cartridge so much I bought a second one, but have decided to sell one of them.
This cartridge was purchased in November last year as new-old-stock. I specifically sought out this model because it has the boron cantilever, which I prefer to the newer versions which have carbon fibre cantilevers - I find the boron cantilever provides more tonal depth and vibrancy. This is the copper wired version, which is generally regarded as the best sounding version of the Zyx cartridges. It also has the in-built silver base which makes it more compatible with a wide range of tonearms.
The cartridge is in perfect condition, with only 30-40 hours use. It comes with the original packaging and mounting hardware. The closest equivalent in the current Zyx range is the Ultimate Exceed 4D, which retails for $5700.
This is quite probably the best cartridge I have owned, which is why I am keeping the second one.
